"I founded my personal training and nutrition coaching business with the mission of inspiring individuals to embrace a healthy lifestyle and recognize its transformative impact on both body and mind. My own journey has been marked by struggles with body image, leading me to a crucial realisation – that true change begins with a shift in mindset, driven by dedicated efforts to build better habits and pursue practical, fulfilling goals like strength, happiness, and personal growth. Interestingly, as I shifted my focus from aesthetics to well-being, physical transformations and true body acceptance naturally followed. At this stage, my emphasis is not on how one looks but on how healthful actions and habits make us feel.”

One truly transformative milestone in that journey was discovering Olympic weightlifting. Instead of viewing exercise and the gym as a way to change how her body looked, she began to view it as a way to improve how her body performed. Olympic weightlifting took the emphasis away from having a six pack or a thigh gap and directed it towards how strong, powerful and skillful one can be with dedicated practice and consistency. It may look intimidating at first, but Ashley guarantees all her clients that have ventured from general strength training to Olympic weightlifting love it for the variety and challenge it brings. If you really want to make getting strong and working out fun, she highly encourages you to step out of your comfort zone and try something new like Olympic weightlifting.

“As a fitness and nutrition coach, my core values include empathy, flexibility, and an infusion of fun into wellness journeys. I'm committed to helping clients discover the joy of health and fitness and its profound impact on their overall quality of life. With a background in biochemistry and physiology, my coaching style is characterised first and foremost by education, encouragement and effort. I want to teach the ‘what, how and why’ in order to empower my clients to be autonomous with their health. I firmly believe in their capabilities, even when they may not yet recognise their own potential. Through thoughtful and tailored programming, alongside nutrition education, I aim to enhance their confidence and strength, both mentally and physically. This process is rooted in setting achievable milestones, acknowledging achievements, and collaboratively crafting a roadmap to success.”
